Supreme Court Advocates Expresses Solidarity with Delhi Victims

 

On the rage of Delhi Communal Violence, the Supreme Court Advocates on Record Association (SCAORA) resolved to express their solidarity and unanimity with the victims of Delhi Communal Violence on 2nd of March, 2020, and assured them legal assistance.

 

The SCAORA is the supreme and powerful body of Supreme Court lawyers. A petition in the apex court can be filed through the members of SCAORA.  The members of SCAORA are well experienced and well versed in the procedures and process of the Supreme Court. They are appointed through an examination conducted by the court.

 

SCAORA Executive Committee & the members expressed their deep distress at the huge loss of lives and property and offered their condolences to the families of the lost ones, cited on the statement issued by Joseph Aristotle S, SCAORA's honourable secretary.

A team had visited the violence-stricken northeast areas of Delhi on March 1, 2020, and agreed to offer 24X7 legal assistance to victims in unity with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority.

 

The association of Supreme Court lawyers requested the administration, the judiciary, and NGOs to take immediate corrective steps to restore the situation and belief in the rule of law.
