  A will is a document that is written by any person who wishes to transfer his property after he/she is no more. The provisions as mentioned under the Indian Succession Act 1925 are to be followed while making the will in the case of a Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, or Jain. This does not apply in the case of Mohammedans. As per the statement of Section 2(h) of the Indian Succession Act 1925 which is as follows " the legal declaration of the intention of a testator concerning his property which he wishes to be brought into effect after he is no more ." The most important part of creating a will is that there must exist a property owned by the testator (The person who makes the will).
